COOKIES
Cookie policy.

This page lists every cookie that aitsaintegration.co.za sets, why each one exists, and how long it lives. It complements our privacy notice.
A “cookie” is a small piece of text a website stores on your device to remember things between page loads. We use only what we need to keep the site working and to stop bots from abusing the audit form. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell visit data to anyone.
1 · What we set by default
Visiting the homepage, blog, services, or about pages sets zero cookies. We rely on a hashed IP address (server-side, not in your browser) and on standard HTTP cache headers, neither of which is a cookie.
Cookies appear only when you reach the audit form on the contact page, or when you book a call after submitting the form. Both cases are described below.
2 · Cookies we use

3 · What we do NOT do
- No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising trackers. If we ever add analytics, it will be with your consent and we will list the cookie here first.
- No cross-site retargeting. We never share your visit with ad networks.
- No fingerprinting. Beyond the Cloudflare anti-bot check, we do not try to identify you by device characteristics.
4 · How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies at any time using your browser's settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking the Cloudflare Turnstile cookie will prevent the audit form from submitting (the anti-bot check needs it). If that's a problem, email [email protected] and we'll capture your details manually.
5 · Legal basis
Under POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013) we set strictly-necessary cookies on the basis of legitimate interest (Section 11(1)(f)), these cookies protect the site from abuse and keep it functional, neither of which a reasonable visitor would object to.
Calendly cookies appear only after you actively submit the audit form, which constitutes consent (Section 11(1)(a)).
Under ECTA (Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002) we treat cookies the same way: minimum necessary, no covert collection, easy to opt out.
6 · Cross-border transfers
Cloudflare and Calendly are not South African companies. Setting their cookies on your device means a small amount of technical data (cookie value, IP address, user-agent) is processed in their data centres outside South Africa. POPIA Section 72 permits this where the receiving party has equivalent protections or where the transfer is necessary for a contract with you. Both vendors publish their own privacy and processing terms.
7 · Changes to this policy
When we add or remove a cookie, or change how an existing one is used, we will update this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes (a new third-party cookie, for example) will be flagged on the homepage banner.
