AI-Assisted Workflow Automation

We use AI where the workflow needs language understanding, document handling, classification, summarisation, or decision support. If the job only needs ordinary automation, we keep it ordinary.

AI belongs here only when judgement, language, or documents create the bottleneck.

AI-Assisted Workflow Automation workflow automation

WHAT IT IS

A controlled automation layer that uses AI for the parts of work where rules alone are too brittle, with review and fallback designed before anything goes live.

WHAT WE IMPROVE

Concrete workflow changes. No theatre.

/BUILD 01

Document intake and classification with human review for edge cases

/BUILD 02

Draft responses, summaries, or reports for staff to approve

/BUILD 03

Decision-support prompts grounded in your SOPs, rules, and escalation paths

/BUILD 04

Quality checks that stop weak AI output from entering the workflow

WHO IT'S FOR

If two of these sound familiar, start with the audit.

  • Teams drowning in emails, documents, tickets, or repetitive queries
  • Businesses with clear processes but high language or document volume
  • Managers who want AI assistance without losing accountability

COMMON QUESTIONS

Straight answers before you book.

What is AI automation?
AI automation puts AI inside an existing workflow, only for the parts where fixed rules are too brittle: reading documents, understanding language, classifying, summarising, or supporting a decision. It is not a chatbot bolted onto your business. It is a controlled step in a mapped process, with human review and a fallback designed before anything goes live.
When is AI not the right answer?
When ordinary automation already handles the work, or when the underlying process is unclear, AI adds cost and risk without adding value. We automate first and reach for AI only where language, documents, classification, or judgement are the real bottleneck. If a simpler tool or a clearer process solves it, that is what we will tell you, even if it means a smaller project.
How much does AI automation cost in South Africa?
An Automation Sprint starts from R 12 500, scoped to one workflow after the audit, with a 50% deposit and the balance on implementation. We price the build, not the hours, and we only quote once the workflow is mapped, so the number reflects real scope instead of a guess.
Will AI automation replace my staff?
No. Every pattern we build keeps a person accountable: AI drafts, classifies, or flags, and your team reviews and approves. It removes repetitive load so people spend their time on judgement and exceptions, not on the parts a machine handles more reliably.
What can AI realistically automate in my business?
The strongest fits are document intake and classification, drafting responses or summaries for a person to approve, and decision support grounded in your own SOPs. The AI Process Audit identifies which of your workflows carry the language or document volume that makes AI worth it, and which are better left as plain automation.
What is the difference between automation and AI?
Automation follows fixed rules you define: when this happens, do that, the same way every time. AI handles the parts where rules are too brittle, like reading a free-text email, classifying a document, or summarising a report. In practice we automate the rule-based steps first and add AI only for the language, document, or judgement-heavy steps where it improves the outcome. Most of a working system is ordinary automation, with AI as one controlled step inside it.

HOW WE ENGAGE

Start small enough to prove value. Build only when the case is clear.

The audit is designed to be useful on its own. If the business case is strong, we scope a focused sprint. Ongoing support comes only after the workflow is live, owned, and worth improving.
